Network usage continues to be recorded per individual resident and per room ! 
The rules for using the ŠDL network and the provisions of the Dormitory Rules apply ! 
Any misuse of the network and actions that violate the law or cause disruptions to operations are prohibited !

Eduroam – Setup Instructions for Windows 11

1️⃣ Connect to a temporary network (mobile hotspot, guest Wi-Fi network, etc.).
2️⃣ Visit Eduroam CAT: www.geteduroam.app
3️⃣ After launching the GetEduroam application, select the Connect to eduroam option.
4️⃣ In the dialog box, search for and select your educational institution. Confirm your organization selection by clicking the Next button.
5️⃣ Press Install and confirm the selected certificate by clicking Yes in the pop-up window.
6️⃣ Enter your username and password and press the Connect button.
Username format: username@student.uni-lj.si
7️⃣ When you are successfully connected to the eduroam network, you will receive the notification You are now connected to eduroam.

ℹ️ Notes
Make sure WPA2-Enterprise / PEAP / MSCHAPv2 settings are selected if prompted. 
Remove any old eduroam configurations if connection problems persist.

SDLnet Tested working on: Samsung, Honor, Xiaomi, Redmi, Realme phones, running: Android ver: 14 _{instructions at Moj študent https://student.sd-lj.si/#  login in and click Internet.}

Note: (SDLnet Wifi): Pixel phones with Android 15 ver(13.0.0_r) are currently not supported!   (If you have a Pixel phone please use Eduroam!)

Eduroam – Setup Instructions for Android Devices

1️⃣  Make sure your device is connected to the internet Use mobile data or a temporary Wi-Fi network. 
2️⃣ Install the Eduroam CAT app from Google Play: 👉 Eduroam CAT – Google Play Store 
3️⃣ Open the app and find your institution: 
Launch the Eduroam CAT app  Tap “Choose your institution” 
Search for University of Ljubljana or Arnes (depending on your institution) 
4️⃣ Download and install the configuration profile: 
Tap “Download your eduroam installer”  Follow the prompts to install the configuration 
5️⃣ Enter your credentials when prompted:
📌 Example username format: username@student.uni-lj.si (or another format as specified by your institution or Arnes) 
6️⃣ Once the profile is installed, your device will automatically connect to eduroam whenever it is available.

Instructions for SDLnet iOS tested up to version "iOS 26" _{available at Moj študent https://student.sd-lj.si/#  login in and click Internet.}

Eduroam – Setup Instructions for iOS (iPhone / iPad)

1️⃣ Connect to a temporary network (mobile hotspot or guest Wi-Fi).  
2️⃣ Install the Eduroam CAT app from App Store: 👉 Eduroam CAT – App Store 
- Search for University of Ljubljana or Arnes (depending on your institution) 
3️⃣ After the profile is downloaded: 
Open Settings → Profile Downloaded (at the top of the menu) Tap Install and follow the on-screen instructions 
4️⃣ When prompted, enter your credentials:
📌 Example username format: username@student.uni-lj.si
(or another format provided by your institution or Arnes) 
5️⃣ Once installed, your device should automatically connect to “eduroam”.
If it doesn’t, go to Settings → Wi-Fi → eduroam and tap Join.

Instructions for SDLnet mac OS tested up to version 15.2 (macOS Sequoia) _{available at Moj študent https://student.sd-lj.si/#  login in and click Internet.}

Eduroam for macOS 

1️⃣ Connect to a temporary network (mobile hotspot or guest Wi-Fi).
2️⃣ Visit Eduroam CAT: https://www.geteduroam.app/ 
3️⃣ Download the macOS installer for your institution.
4️⃣ Open the downloaded .pkg file and follow the installation prompts.
5️⃣ Enter your AAI credentials when prompted:  Username format: username@student.uni-lj.si 
6️⃣ Your Mac will automatically connect to eduroam once the profile is installed.

ℹ️ Notes 
- Ensure you approve any security prompts to trust the certificate.  
- If problems occur, remove any old “eduroam” Wi-Fi profiles before reinstalling

Instructions for SDLnet tested on Kali Linux 2024.4 and Ubuntu 22.04.5 _{available at Moj študent https://student.sd-lj.si/#  login in and click Internet.}

Linux Eduroam (Ubuntu / Debian / Kali / Others)

1️⃣ Ensure your device is connected to the internet (mobile data, guest Wi-Fi, etc.).
2️⃣ Download the Eduroam configuration from Eduroam CAT: https://www.geteduroam.app/ 
Select your institution (University of Ljubljana or Similar). 
Download the Linux installer or configuration file. 
3️⃣ Open the downloaded file and follow the prompts.
4️⃣ Enter your AAI credentials when requested: 
Username format: username@student.uni-lj.si
5️⃣ Once installed, connect to eduroam from your network manager.

ℹ️ Notes 
Some Linux distributions may require manual selection of WPA2-Enterprise / PEAP and MSCHAPv2 authentication. 
After installation, eduroam will work at any participating Eduroam institution.
