PUBLIC CALL for admission and extension of residence of YOUNG RESEARCHERS AND SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS at the Public Institution Student Dormitory Ljubljana – Postgraduate Dormitory Ljubljana for the academic year 2025/2026
The Director of the Public Institution Student Dormitory Ljubljana hereby publishes the Public Call for the admission and extension of residence of young researchers and scholarship holders at the Public Institution Student Dormitory Ljubljana – Postgraduate Home Ljubljana for the academic year 2025/2026.
Application for admission or extension of residence
The application for admission or extension of residence, together with supporting documents, shall be completed and submitted by the student on Form A – Application for admission or extension of residence of young researchers and scholarship holders at the Public Institution Student Dormitory Ljubljana – Postgraduate Home Ljubljana for the academic year 2025/2026.
Deadline for submission
Applications for admission may be submitted at any time between 1 September 2025 and 15 January 2026. Students who submit their application by 15 October 2025 will be placed on the first priority list.
Applications for extension of residence may be submitted by 15 October 2025 (a decision on the right to extension will be issued by 30 November 2025).

Key points and novelties in the call
According to the ranking criteria (basis in the Rules) for admission to ŠDL DPL, up to 100 points may be awarded:
outstanding academic achievement and extracurricular activities: up to 66 points,
special social, health or other circumstances of the student: up to 27 points,
additional ranking criterion: 7 points.
In case of equal points, students are ranked on the priority list according to Articles 10, 11 and 9 of the Rules, in that order. If two or more students still obtain the same score, priority is given to the student who submitted the application earlier.
Applications for admission may also be submitted after 15 October 2025, up until 15 January 2026.
The 2025/2026 call introduces certain changes to the forms to be completed. Further details are provided in the call itself.
Publication of the first priority list and move-in
The first priority list will be published by 30 November 2025. At that time, students whose applications were complete and could be decided upon will receive a decision stating their score.
Move-ins will begin in early December 2025. Students with the highest scores will be invited to move in, subject to the availability of free capacity.
